ASAC 2019 Conference

Travel and Directions

 

The conference will primarily be taking place in Goodman School of Business at Brock University.

Getting to Brock

Travelers can get to the conference by plane, train, bus, taxi, and/or car. Below are a few resources to help you plan your trip.

If you plan on flying into Buffalo, Hamilton or Toronto, there are several options for getting to Brock University from each of these airports.

Car rental partner

If you are planning to rent a vehicle, we have set up a discount code through Avis. Use Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) # Z967186 for up to 30% off. The discount rate you receive will depend on the supply of vehicles available, so if you plan on renting, the sooner you do so, the better. You may be required to give the name of the conference on the website or at the counter, which is “ASAC 2019”.

 

Driving Instructions

If you’re staying on campus: Upon arrival to campus, please enter the roundabout at the Glenridge entrance. Take the first exit on the right and follow the signs that read “Accommodation Check In”. Follow the road to Lot K where you can park to check in at Earp Residence. Once checked in, please place the permit you were provided with on your dash and park in your assigned lot.

If you’re staying off campus: Upon arrival to campus, please enter at the main entrance on St. David’s Road. The first parking lot on your right is Zone 1. This lot is complimentary parking for your group – no permit required. Follow the signs that will read “ASAC Conference” which is in the Goodman School of Business. This building is located to the right of the tower.

From Toronto Airport:

Once exiting the airport, get on the ON-427S from Airport Rd/Peel Regional Rd 7 (1.7km)
Take Queen Elizabeth Way, ON-403W (100km)
Merge onto ON-406S (Welland, Port Colborne) and take exit 11A Sir Isaac Brock Way
Follow the road to the main entrance of the University.
If you are staying on campus, turn right and the second lights and follow the instructions above.
If you are staying off campus, go straight and follow the instructions above.

From Buffalo Airport:

When exiting the airport, continue on NY-33 W
Drive from 1-90W and 1-90N to Buffalo. Take exit 9 from 1-90N
Once crossed the Peace Bridge, continue on QEW and exit 32 on Thorold Stone Road. Turn left.
Follow Thorold Stone Road all the way to ON-58 *keep going straight and go through the tunnel
After the tunnel, continue on ON-58 to St. David’s Rd exit (right at the fork).
Turn left at the lights and follow to main entrance.
If you are staying on campus, turn right and the second lights and follow the instructions above.
If you are staying off campus, go straight and follow the instructions above.

From the Holiday Inn Express or Staybridge Suites:

Exit from hotel parking lot and turn right on York Road and left on Glendale Avenue
Turn left onto Taylor Rd/Regional Road 70
Turn right onto Regional Road 57
Continue onto ON-58N (Thorold/Ontario 406)
Take Regional Rd 71/St.David’s Road exit
Turn left at the lights and follow to main entrance.

Parking on Campus


If you are staying on campus, you will be provided with a permit to park in Lot M upon check in.
If you are staying off campus, complimentary parking is available in Zone 1. No permit is required for this lot. If you park outside of this lot, you will be ticketed as all other lots require a permit.

 

Parking meters and a paid lot is also available for use – fees required.
