Grants & Awards
A key contribution of ASAC and of the experience at an ASAC conference are a number of grants and awards that will be given out at the Awards presentation. Here is a brief summary of the awards available for ASAC 2017 in Montreal. Further details and application forms are available on the ASAC website in the “Membership – Awards & Grants” area.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS & AWARDS
ASAC-CJAS PhD Research Grant
Purpose: To support a PhD student at a Canadian university with his/her doctoral research.
Application Procedure: Individual application using prescribed forms by the deadline.
Deadline: 31 December 2016
Divisional Best Paper Awards
Purpose: To recognize the best paper in each ASAC division presented at the conference.
Amount: Non-financial – presentation of a plaque only.
Application Procedure: All submitted papers are automatically considered. The identification of the best paper is made by the Divisional Officers to which the paper was submitted.
Deadline: As soon as possible after acceptance into the conference program.
Note: Best paper awards are presented at the Awards Lunchon. Other divisional awards (e.g. honourable mention, best student paper), if offered, are presented by the awarding division as part of their program.
