The Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) respects the privacy of its members and wants you to be aware of our commitment to protect the information you share with us. ASAC is the sole owner of this information. We will not sell or share this information outside of the guidelines specified below.

The only personal information we store is the member's name, institutional affiliation and address, office and home phone numbers, fax number, email address, divisional preferences, dues payment and membership expiration date, desired directory options, and participant provided conference registration information. Payment information, such as copies of cheques, credit card information, and electronic funds transfers is stored in non-electronic form on a yearly basis.

Our membership list is used for by ASAC for the sole purpose of keeping members advised on the affairs of the Association and distribution of Association related information. It is used for the distribution of the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences (CJAS) and the electronic Bulletin, publication and distribution of the Membership Directory, distribution of information relevant to the annual conference and distribution of information on issues that are and might be of concern to the members.

The membership list is not made available to any outside organization for any reason aside from the mailing of CJAS.

The organization mailing the publication supplies a written guarantee that the membership list will be kept confidential.

The listing of members' names in the Membership Directory will only be done after members have been given the opportunity to decline inclusion in a printed directory, web-based directory with password protection and web-based directory without password protection.

Members' names and records will be kept secure in the offices of the Vice-President of Membership. From time to time ASAC may send you information regarding our conference, special issues, membership and other correspondence. If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy practices or you would prefer not to allow us to use your personal information in any manner discussed above you may contact us in writing at the address below or by email.

This policy will be published on the ASAC website and in CJAS.
